The Centre Henri Pousseur. Musique électronique/Musique mixte – a studio for the creation and dissemination of mixed music – is recruiting a general manager (m/f/x)
Function:
- Conception and carrying out the tasks set out in the programme contract.
- Definition of an artistic project and implementation of the Centre Henri Pousseur’s own productions and co-productions (composers in residence, programming and organisation of the “IMAGES SONORES” festival, national and international collaboration projects, organisation of the Prix Henri Pousseur, etc.).
- Administrative and financial management of the association in collaboration with the accounting office.
- Day-to-day management of the team.
- Search for sponsors.
- Management of all negotiations involving the association. Representation of the association on the main organs, institutions and events.
- Managing communication, promoting the Centre and its activities, and widening the audience for mixed music.
- Drafting activity reports, press kits, programme texts for Images Sonores, applications for specific financial assistance and any documents required by the subsidising administration.
- Development of educational projects and continuation of the agreement with the Conservatoire de Liège
- Research and development of technological and IT tools
Profile:
- Personality (m/f/x), holding a university degree or a non-university higher education degree of the long type, with an excellent knowledge of the contemporary musical world, and more particularly of mixed music and achievements in music informatics, of the cultural institutions and subsidising authorities in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
- Good communication, negotiation, organisation and initiative skills
- Excellent writing abilities for the purpose of the presentation of artistic projects and dossiers
- Thorough knowledge of French and Dutch and/or English
- Applications in pairs are admissible
